Looking for an easy way to review music notation and pitch reading with your elementary students this October?

I created these Halloween coloring worksheets to give students hands-on practice identifying notes, rests, dynamics, symbols, and staff pitches across both treble and bass clefs. The activities are organized into three differentiated levels: matching identical symbols, reading terminology to find symbols, and creating custom color codes.

These pages require no prep and work well for music centers, sub plans, early finishers, or quiet desk work.

• Set 1: Symbol to Symbol (10 pages): Students match identical symbols, rhythms, dynamics, and staff pitches using a pre-labeled visual color key.
• Set 2: Symbol to Term (10 pages): Students read musical terms, note names, dynamic definitions, and pitch letters in the color key to identify matching symbols on the page.
• Set 3: Own Key (10 pages): Students create their own color key for musical terms and pitch letters before coloring the worksheet.
• Blank Coloring Pages (10 pages): Unlabeled outline templates for custom teacher-created assignments or open coloring.
